This year's BMO Indigenous report featured the McKay Métis Group (MMG) as a spotlight on economic empowerment within Indigenous communities. MMG was born out of a desire for economic independence for the Fort McKay Métis Nation in hopes that it helps with the push to decolonize the community and allow the community to expand not only its entrepreneurial roots but its cultural roots as well.
