Danny Dion moved to Alberta at a young age, to take up work as a farmer and logger. He quickly turned to business and started Bear Slashing in 1988 which provides site prep to the energy industry. He leveraged that success into the pursuit of his passion – horse racing – founding Bear Stables and becoming one of the largest horse breeders/buyers in Canada. Danny is still active in the business community, and in horse racing – and serves on the board of McKay Métis Group.
