Loretta has deep roots in the community and a solid record of business and community achievement.
After graduation from high school Loretta spent 20 years in various roles in local industry. She applied her business experience to the management of the Fort McKay store for 4 years. Thereafter, Loretta was brought into a business in Fort Chipewyan and greatly expanded its revenue.
Loretta has demonstrated commitment to community by serving on the Fort McKay Métis Nation council since 2011, sitting on the council’s finance committee and currently acting as treasurer.
Loretta has previously served on the board of directors for the McKay Métis Group, and we have recently welcomed her back in early 2021 for another term.
