The Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and trucks. This role involves a combination of highly skilled mechanical work and hands-on tasks, including troubleshooting systems, performing component repairs, and conducting routine maintenance. The position also requires the ability to operate various diagnostic tools and equipment to ensure all machinery performs safely and efficiently in the field.

Working on a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation, this role ensures equipment reliability through accurate tracking, reporting, and coordination with the maintenance team.

Heavy Equipment Operator- Grader
McKay Métis Contracting is seeking an experience Equipment Operator. This is a camp position working with one of our growing Oil Sand client contracts. The shift for this position is a 14 days on, 14 days off rotation working 12 hour days, with a half hour unpaid lunch.
Under general supervision, the operator will safely operate equipment to perform public works projects, road maintenance and construction activities. This an advanced position which involves considerable knowledge. The Heavy Equipment Operator position reports directly to the Superintendent and/or other designated leaders.
